• organisational planning and review processes including the development of strategic, operational plans and business plans

• evaluations of organisations, programs and projects; specialising in reviews of service delivery

I work as a research consultant to community organisations who wish to undertake research in their organisation. This may involve

• needs analyses
• action research and / or participatory research approaches with client groups
• literature reviews

I also undertake organisational and program evaluation for community organisations and I specialise in evaluations of direct practice and organisational infrastructure.

I also run a number of workshops designed for NGOs including:

• positive communication in teams
• developing and maintaining an effective community organisation
• the role of Management Committees and Boards in community organisations
• practice frameworks: achieving consistency in professional practice
• reflective practice for change
• vicarious trauma: what it is and how to deal with it
• self care for welfare workers

Consultancy services are provided to both small and large groups and include the provision of resources and organisational tools. All consultancy services are tailored to each specific organisation. All aspects of the consultancy are discussed with the organisation’s representative and there are opportunities for negotiation and flexibility throughout the process.
